University Animal Medical and Dental Clinic in Harrisburg, NC is a full service veterinary clinic. Established in 1979, owned and operated by Dr. Jimmie L. Sain Jr., DVM, it is our commitment to provide quality veterinary care throughout the life of your pet. We recognize your pet is an important member of your family and every day life. Our services and facilities are designed to assist in routine preventive care for young, healthy pets; early detection and treatment of disease as your pet ages; and complete medical and surgical care as necessary during his or her lifetime. It is our mission to provide the best medical care in an atmosphere that is caring, respectful, friendly, and professional.

    Chris has been with University Animal Medical & Dental Clinic for almost 10 years.  Originally from Michigan with a degree in Horse Science, she moved to North Carolina in August 1996 to pursue her love of animals.  She graduated in 2000 from the Gaston College Veterinary Technology program.  Chris currently lives with her cat Milly and her recent addition of a boxer mixed, little "Herb", Basil.

    Lisa has been with University Animal Medical & Dental Clinic for almost 10 years as well. Lisa looks forward to coming to work everyday.  She says the best part is getting to know the clients and their pets.  She truly works hard to make sure clients and pets are welcomed and appreciated.  She genuinely makes an effort to get to know each the pets by giving each of them time, patience, respect and love.  She feels that she was meant to be with dogs and cats.  "I'm fortunate to be a part of our patient's lives!" Lisa shares her home with several wonderful pets.

    Marit started with University Animal Medical & Dental Clinic in 1996 as a volunteer, and was shortly thereafter hired on and stayed with us until 2002 until she moved the Kansas City area.  There she continued developing her skills as a technician including working with exotics.  Upon moving back to the Charlotte area in 2008 she rejoined the University Animal Medical & Dental Clinic team.  She shares her home with several orange tabby cats and a lab mix named Astro.

    Madison Hanakahi Veterinary Technician

    Madison started as an intern with University Animal Medical & Dental Clinic in 2010 while a student at Gaston College in the Veterinary Technology Program, and upon completion of her internship became a member of our team.  She has since graduated from the program, and shortly will have completed the requirements for her Registered Veterinary Technician license.  Madison also volunteers with the Humane Society and shares her home with her cat, Riley.
